At Price Hubbard Talent Agency Limited, we are committed to providing a professional, inclusive, and safe environment for the young talent we represent in TV, Film, Theatre, and Commercials. This Code of Practice outlines our commitment to ethical standards, diversity, and safeguarding the welfare of children and young performers.

1. Professional Conduct

Respect and Integrity: All staff at Price Hubbard Talent Agency will conduct themselves with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and transparency in all dealings with clients, performers, and industry professionals.

Communication: Clear, timely, and respectful communication will be maintained with all stakeholders, including young performers and their guardians, casting directors, production companies, and other agencies.

Confidentiality: All personal information about our clients and their families will be treated as strictly confidential in line with GDPR regulations.

2. Representation & Contracts

Fair Representation: We ensure that child performers are represented in a manner that promotes their talent and career growth, while safeguarding their interests.

Clear Contracts: All contracts and agreements will be clearly communicated to performers and their guardians. They will have the opportunity to review and ask questions before signing.

Commission Fees: We will charge a standard commission of 20% on all earnings from engagements, as agreed in the signed representation contract.

Audition Support: We will ensure that child performers are properly prepared for auditions, including providing information on role requirements, rehearsals, and expectations.

3. Safeguarding and Child Welfare

Child Protection: We prioritise the welfare of the children and young people we represent. We adhere strictly to child protection laws, including the Children and Young Persons Act 1963, and ensure that all performances comply with child labour regulations.

Safe Working Conditions: We will only accept engagements with production companies, studios, and theatres that offer safe and appropriate working environments for children. This includes ensuring that chaperones are provided where necessary.

Health and Well-being: We will monitor the physical and emotional well-being of the children we represent and will intervene if there are concerns regarding stress, exhaustion, or overworking.

4. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy

Commitment to Diversity: Price Hubbard Talent Agency is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. We welcome and represent young performers from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.

Equal Opportunities: All clients will be given equal opportunities for representation, casting, and performance roles. No performer will be excluded from opportunities based on personal characteristics or background.

Anti-Discrimination: We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination, whether from agency staff, industry partners, or other performers. Discrimination will be addressed immediately, and appropriate actions will be taken.

5. Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy

Zero Tolerance: Harassment and bullying in any form, whether verbal, physical, or emotional, will not be tolerated. This applies to all interactions within the agency, as well as during auditions, rehearsals, and performances.

Reporting Mechanism: If any performer or parent/guardian feels they are being harassed or bullied, they are encouraged to report it to their agent or the agency office manager. Complaints will be handled swiftly, sensitively, and confidentially.

Support for Performers: We will provide support for any performer who experiences bullying or harassment, including facilitating conversations with production companies or casting directors if necessary.

6. Safeguarding Policy

DBS Checks: All staff members at Price Hubbard Talent Agency who work with children will undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to ensure they are suitable to work with minors.

Chaperones and Guardians: We ensure that, where required, licensed chaperones are available for all performances. Parents and guardians will be kept informed about all logistical aspects of the child’s work, including travel arrangements, working hours, and breaks.

Risk Assessment: Prior to accepting any engagement, we will carry out a risk assessment to ensure that the working environment is safe and age-appropriate for child performers.

7. Social Media and Publicity

Social Media Management: While we encourage the use of social media to promote talent, all online activity must be age-appropriate and carefully managed. Parents/guardians will be consulted about any publicity involving their children.

Publicity Consent: Parental or guardian consent will be sought before any promotional materials, photographs, or videos featuring child performers are used by the agency for marketing purposes.

8. Complaints Procedure

Complaints Process: If a client or parent/guardian has concerns about the representation or treatment of their child, they are encouraged to raise these with the agency. Complaints will be taken seriously and handled in a transparent and timely manner.

Resolution: Where possible, complaints will be resolved amicably through discussion. In cases where this is not possible, we will follow a formal process, involving mediation if necessary.

9. Training and Development

Ongoing Training: We offer opportunities for child performers to attend workshops, acting classes, and other training sessions to develop their skills.

Professional Development: We stay up to date with the latest industry trends, standards, and regulations, ensuring that our talent is given the best possible guidance.

10. Environmental Responsibility

Sustainability: Price Hubbard Talent Agency is committed to reducing its environmental footprint. We promote sustainable practices in the office such as reducing waste.

Digital Resources: Wherever possible, we use digital platforms to reduce the need for paper and physical materials, promoting a more eco-friendly approach to business.
